MOSCOW, Dec 6 (PRIME) -- Russian power holding Inter RAO plans to invest around U.S. $3 billion in modernization of its domestic electric power plants over the next seven to 10 years, Ilnar Mirsiyapov, a member of the company’s management board, told Reuters in an interview released on Wednesday.

“Inter RAO is preparing to invest around $3 billion in modernization of its electric power plants in Russia, hoping to get into a new program of payments recently approved by the Russian president. The company, which owns thermal power plants with a capacity of 28.31 gigawatts in Russia, plans to invest these funds over seven to 10 years,” Mirsiyapov said.
